Sucks to be Kalinin he just went from playing in the NHL for two years to possibly never playing an NHL game again my guess is he will return to the KHL if no NHL teams show interest in the offseason because resigning with Toronto is basically a guarantee he will play in the AHL all season. |

Hopefully he works out, but my guess he's just like the others we have. |

You talk about this Quincey trade like it's a foregone conclusion. Is there word of it happening? |

Fiddler and Kalinin both cost us nothing to obtain they did not work out but we pulled a little bit of defensive depth and a draft pick in 2017 out of the two so all in all not bad, lucky we got anything while also making room for future talent to get in some experience, Quincey is a goner pretty much already is Andy Greene - Ben Lovejoy
John Moore - Damon Severson
Jon Merrill - Steve Santini pretty much fine with that for now never seen Loov play but I would imagine if someone got injured Auvitu, helgeson, Stollery etc would have a better shot at filling Quinceys filler role.
On a side note it is ashame Kalinin did not work out Ray pulled him out of KHL and it must have been a huge change for him, I think thats why Ray gave him the 2nd season to be honest but it was time to call it a bust, at least he got to play in an NHL game period. Wish I could say that. Good for him even if he ends up back in Russia |

Kalinin was a Lou guy when he was still here so ray signed him. At least from the reports I read

If Shero can move him, he's gone. |

I would think any offers for Quincey or Moore will be listened to. There is a glut of not so great left hand defensemen on the Devils roster. If either or both are moved it would give Helgeson, Auvitu or maybe Stollery a chance for some NHL minutes. |

Cammy is probably pissed that DSP slots in instead of him, even if it's not his position |

Yeah of course I'd love to trade him, but who wants him? |

He's been better than people think. I'd be ok with him as a 3rd pairing guy. I think a team will look at him because A) he's a veteran guy B) he's got a good shot and C) there's not a lot of sellers and Quincey will be a cheap option both in terms of acquisition cost and cap hit-wise.
Essentially a team would acquire him as a depth option/injury insurance. |

Totally agree.
His 4 goals, 8 assists and +5 is fairly respectable for an old school defense first guy. |
